ECB sets out action to make cricket more inclusive following ICEC report
Cambridgeshire Cricket has been involved in the consultation phase and is fully behind the proposed actions of the ECB in response to the recommendations from the ICEC (Independent Commission of Equity in Cricket) report. We will continue to work with the ECB and other partners nationally and locally to make cricket as inclusive and welcoming as possible.
Michael O'Toole, Chair, Cambridgeshire Cricket, stressed
'The ICEC report clearly highlights that change is needed and that discrimination must be addressed across cricket. We now have an opportunity to plan and deliver meaningful change across cricket and for the Cambridgeshire communities we serve. We want to break down barriers for women and girls, people from lower socio-economic groups, and diverse communities. We are very sorry that cricket hasn’t got it right in the past, but this is an opportunity to make cricket Cambridgeshire’s most inclusive team sport.'
