All Affiliated Clubs in Cambridgeshire are required to have a nominated and trained Club Safeguarding Officer.
If you are thinking about appointing a new Club Safeguarding Officer, please look at the document at the bottom of this page which will outline the Roles & Responsibilities of this position and may help with recruitment.
The nominated officer must undertake the following training and complete an ECB DBS check:
- ECB Safeguarding Young Cricketers (SYC) online module (Certificate dated within the last 3 years) For those with existing SPC certificates (valid for 3 years) these can be used until they expire
- ECB Safe Hands for Club Safeguarding Officer's Workshop
Both of these training courses (plus the DBS check) have to be renewed after a period of 3 years.
