Community 8’s Cricket
Community 8’s cricket is a format of cricket specifically designed to work in Adult day centres. The equipment used is safe and can be used indoors. The format is short and quick. A whole game can be played in 20 minutes!
This is particularly suitable for adults with learning disability as it allows participants to experience a whole game in the shortest space of time – giving a full opportunity to take part in our sport, sometimes for the first time.
In Cambridgeshire we are looking to work with several adult day services on an individual basis and then collectively in a competition style format
Clock Cricket
This format has been designed for older people and people who are living with dementia. Played with soft equipment and from a sitting position, this game is proving to be a hit in other parts of the country.
If you work or support someone who attends a day care home or is in a residential home and is living with dementia, please contact us. We would be delighted to come and have a chat and deliver a clock cricket session.
Wheelchair Cricket
Developed over the past two years is an indoor version of cricket for wheelchair users. Working closely with the country’s spinal units, we have developed a quick 10 overs a side game that fast and full of fun. Do you know any wheelchair users in Cambridgeshire that might want to give it a go? Then contact us…. We would be delighted to hear from them.
