The ECB is currently developing a game-wide Sustainability Strategy that will help drive change in cricket in England and Wales.
Because of the energy crisis we are bringing forward a new guide to reducing energy consumption, to help clubs take steps to reduce their energy consumption, cut their emissions and cut their bills this winter.
The guide covers advice in the following areas to help clubs save energy
- Getting the best energy deal
- Developing energy efficient behaviour
- Install energy saving devices and controls
- Insulate hot water systems and fix leaks
- Insulate loft or roof space
- Draught proofing
- Replacing existing appliances with energy efficient models
- Insulating walls and floors
- Installing new windows and doors
- Replace your old boiler with a new one
- Install an air source heat pump
- Installing Solar-PV panels
This guide can be used to help any affiliated cricket club access the ECB County Grant Fund via the Tackling Climate Change criteria. More information on the County Grants Fund can be found HERE
