Purpose and Vision

Cambridgeshire Cricket Board aims to inspire and influence the growth, quality and
accessibility of all formats of cricket across the
County Cricket Board geographical area of
Cambridgeshire.

As part of the Cricket Network, made up of the key organisations who deliver cricketing activity across the county, we are working hard to ‘Inspire Cambridgeshire to Choose Cricket’

We are working alongside the ECB to deliver the ‘Inspiring Generations’ strategy and the aim of ‘more players, playing more regularly in teams’

The priority outcomes for Cambridgeshire Cricket Board are:

  • Improved Health & Well being
  • An Effective Excellence & Player Pathway
  • Increased Community Inclusion & Development
  • Influence the Growth agenda – Facilities & Women & Girls
  • Sustained activity within Education
  • Increased financial sustainability across the Cricket
    Network

We will be doing this by working and delivering in the following areas:

  • To have suitable facilities and locations to participate
    in cricket
  • To increase, not replace the current workforce
  • To increase opportunities for all to be part of the game
  • To provide the opportunity for as many players as
    possible to reach their potential
  • To support educational environments to deliver a
    sustainable cricket programme
  • To enable participants to find enjoyment within the game
  • Aiming to decrease the reliance on ECB funding and
    increase alternative income sources

Fundamentally, we believe that Cricket is a powerful way of connecting & developing communities, building friendships and helping people to achieve through playing our wonderful game.

Equality Statement – Cambridgeshire Cricket Limited, in all its activities is fully committed to the principles of equality of opportunity in cricket, and is responsible for ensuring that its job applicants, employees, workers, office holders, volunteers, participants or members as well as those participating in or watching the Board’s activities are treated fairly and are able to conduct their activities free from discrimination, harassment or intimidation.
