League & Cup Competitions

Cambridgeshire Cricket Board runs a variety of leagues and cup competitions to ensure that there are opportunities for women and girls of all abilities to participate in cricket, at a level suitable for them. A list has been created below, showing each league and which clubs participate.

Girls` Soft Ball

  • U11 Festival Format:
    South – Audley Wenden, Thriplow, Ickleton, Royston, and Saffron Walden.
    Central – Cambourne, Cambridge St Giles, Sawston & Babraham, and Fulbourn.
    North – Chippenham, City of Ely, March Town, Sutton & Haddenham, and Histon.

Girls` Hard Ball League

  • U13 Pairs:
    South – Audley Wenden, City of Cambridge, Ickleton, Saffron Walden, Sawston & Babraham, and Histon.
    North – Cambourne, Chippenham, City of Ely, March Town, and Worlington.
  • U14 T20: Thriplow, The Shelfords, Saffron Walden, City of Cambridge, and Cambourne.
  • U16 T20: Thriplow, City of Cambridge, Saffron Walden, and The Shelfords.

Girls’ T20 Knock-Out Cup

  • U13: Histon, March Town, City of Ely, Cambourne, Chippenham, Saffron Walden, City of Cambridge, Worlington, Sawston & Babraham, and Thriplow.
  • U16: City of Cambridge, Thriplow, Saffron Walden, and The Shelfords

Women’s Soft Ball

  • Friendly Festivals: Open to all clubs in Cambridgeshire and the surrounding area. who have a team of new/beginner players.
  • T20: Cambourne, Chatteris, Chippenham, Haverhill, Ickleton, Newmarket, Northstowe, Sutton & Haddenham, and Thriplow.

Women’s Hard Ball

  • T20: Thriplow 2nd XI, Saffron Walden, Haverhill, City of Ely, City of Cambride 2nd XI, Chippenham, Audley Wenden, Sutton & Haddenham, March Town 2nd XI.
  • Iceni Women’s Premier Division, 40 overs: Thriplow 1st XI, alongside teams from Norfolk and Suffolk.
  • Iceni Women’s Division One (West), 30 overs: March Town 1st XI, City of Cambridge 1st XI, alongside teams from West Norfolk.

National Competitions 2026

  • ECB Women’s Club T20 Cup: City of Ely, and Thriplow (Group 2 – Plate).
  • ECB Girls` U13 Club T20 Competition: Saffron Walden (South East Group), City of Cambridge, City of Ely, and Thriplow (Midlands Group).
  • ECB Girls` U15 Club T20 Competition: City of Cambridge, Great Shelford, Saffron Walden, Thriplow (Midlands Group).
  • ECB Girls` U19 Club T20 Competition: Saffron Walden, City of Cambridge (Group 2).
