Equipment needed will vary based on the target age group and type of cricket to be played. 

Mostly, soft ball is an easier step into cricket as it requires as little as one kit bag and limited protective equipment.

Hard ball equipment can cause financial challenges which makes it a barrier for some people to get into playing hard ball cricket. The Lord Taverners sets to assist individuals and club to break down that barrier. 

Discover Cricket Kit Recycling with Lord Taverners:

  • Their cricket kit recycling programme is providing access to the sport for young people in the UK and abroad who would otherwise not be able to participate due to a lack of the right cricket kit and equipment.
  • They collect usable cricket kit from across the UK through a network of local collection hubs.
  • The cricket kit is then sorted and redistributed to partner organisations, who can put it to great use in their communities.

Keeping up with the Socials

The date of our Grounds Association Get together has had to change.
We will now be meeting on Sunday, 17th November at Burwell&Exning Cricket Club's Ground in Burwell, starting at 10am.
We hope to see many of the brilliant Grounds team from around the County there.
