🏏 Another weekend of great cricket for our pathway 🏏 Another weekend of great cricket for our pathway players!

Unfortunately, the U13’s match was called off due to the weather, but the U14 & U15 games against Middlesex & Suffolk went ahead.

➡️ BU14
Cambridgeshire U14 boys successfully bowled out well-trained Middlesex opposition for 216, but in spite of an impressive 58 from Etienne L, couldn’t quite hit the run rate needed to win, finishing with 185 👍

➡️ BU15
A T20 double-header away at local rivals, Suffolk, this weekend for Cambs Boys U15s.

Game 1 saw Cambridgeshire post 165-3, with openers Ferdie P & Ethan HF both making 50 before being retired and in the second innings restricted Suffolk to 115-8, with two wickets each for Gyaan P and George M. đź’Ş

Game 2 saw Suffolk make 122-7, which Cambs chased down with six wickets and three overs to spare, Neel K top scoring 👏

Kicking things off with some cricket golf as a warm up, an obligatory catch up, some target bowling and power hitting, it was a great session to join the women’s team and chat about how they got into cricket and what they love about the game 💙

➡️ If you are keen to join a women’s club, get in touch with Lara Neild, our Women & Girls’ Officer and we can let you know which is your nearest club.

🏏 We look forward to seeing how Chippenham and the rest of the Women & Girls’ league get on over the summer and meeting more of you at matches and training session soon.

🏆 It’s Award Time! 🏆 As the sun set on National V 🏆 It’s Award Time! 🏆

As the sun set on National Volunteers Week last week, we at Cambridgeshire Cricket had the fantastic privilege of presenting our 2026 Winter Wonders Awards to this year’s deserving winners.

After receiving more than 30 incredible nominations, our judging panel faced a difficult challenge. Every nominee had made a meaningful impact on their club and local cricket community.

Volunteers are the lifeblood and soul of our clubs, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who gives up their spare time to support and develop the game.

Over the next few days, we’ll be highlighting each of our nominees. First up is Neha Jamwal from Northstowe Cricket Club

🌟 Winner of the Maiden Cricket Women & Girls Development Award @maiden.cricket

🏏 Neha is the driving force behind Northstowe CC’s women’s team and has spent the winter further developing her skills, qualifying as an ECB Foundation Coach and attending an ECB Umpiring Course. She has put both qualifications into practice, delivering coaching sessions and supporting matches through umpiring, helping her Northstowe colleagues develop their skills and confidence.

Neha has a real passion for developing the club and is always willing to take on important roles to demonstrate her commitment.

She has also secured significant funding for the club, contributing towards indoor net facilities and the purchase of essential equipment that will help create future opportunities for players.

Neha’s enthusiasm, leadership and dedication make her an invaluable member of Northstowe CC and a true champion for women and girls’ cricket. 👏🏏

Congratulations, Neha, and thank you for everything you do 💙🏆
