Excellent turn out for the recent Women’s and Girls’ pre-season ‘prep’ meeting! 🏏🔥

It was a fantastic meeting where we discussed all sorts of topics including:

🌟2026 season rule
🌟Women’s T20 World Cup 2026
🌟Creating welcoming environments
🌟Funding and other support channels
🌟Equipment and recycling
And more!

We also handed pennants out to Tamsind Dufferty-Fuller from @chippenhamcc_women, Tina Ellis from @haverhillcricketclub , Chris Neild @thriplowcc, and Alex Cann @city_of_ely_cricket_club

Volunteers were out in force for #getsetweekend a few days ago!

A weekend to get together and prepare for the upcoming season - repairing, planning, replacing, cleaning - with new scoreboards installed, sight screens repaired, club houses given a spring clean, trees pruned, equipment tested, grounds prepped it’s was a busy weekend for many clubs in Cambridgeshire!

There are lots of clubs who have their Get Set Weekends planned for after Easter! Get in touch with your club if you’d like to volunteer to get them ready for the new season!

Following our SOLD OUT First Aid course last week, we already had people on the waiting list - and since then, even more interest has come in.

SO, we’re now looking at running another course in April, but we need to know if there’s enough demand. Are you keen?

The details...
💷 Cost: £40 per person
📜 Qualification: Certified by the Royal Life Saving Society & valid for 3 years
👨‍🏫 Delivered by expert tutors

If you would like to qualify as a First Aider, please send your expression of interest to our Cricket Development Officer, Neil Liversedge, via email: neil.liversedge@cambscricket.org.uk

⏳ Please let us know by 10th April if you would like to attend.

Don’t miss your chance to get qualified, build confidence, and be ready when it matters most.

From 23rd March to 29th March across the UK we are celebrating Grounds Week.

The week is all about the people who
keep things running from the ground
up. #GroundsWeek

We would like to say "Thank You!" to all of the Grounds Managers who are already working hard across Cambridgeshire to get your clubs square and ground ready for the season.

They are the true heroes of your club.

One thing you can do to help and that is get involved in your clubs #GetSetWeekend

Every club will have a get together to prepare its pavilion and ground to get it truly ship-shape for your club. Find out when your club is holding there's and get involved.

Second thing you can do is deliver a cuppa or biscuit to your Grounds Manager, just to show they are loved.

It is the formal ECB Cricket Collective this weekend and staff from Cambridgeshire Cricket will be visiting various grounds, to support the clubs activities and provide some goodies to say "Thank You!" to the Club members
