Players, coaches & parents recently came together to celebrate a fantastic season of cricket, development and achievement across our U13, U14, U16 and U18 County Age Group squads.

From individual milestones to team performances, new faces making their pathway debuts & players progressing into regional programmes, there was plenty to celebrate.

On Sunday, we celebrated the Cambridgeshire Cricket Collective Awards 2026, recognising all the fantastic volunteers from clubs, leagues and associations who give their time, energy and passion to make cricket happen across the county💙

For the 8th year, our Presentation Day was held in partnership with @essexcricket at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground in Chelmsford. As well as celebrating their achievements, our award winners were able to enjoy some top-class cricket, watching Essex Women take on Surrey in the Metro Bank One Day competition.

🏏What a way to finish the season for our Cambridge

🏏What a way to finish the season for our Cambridgeshire Cricket CAG U13 Boys!💪

The boys headed to Taunton for the final week of the season, and after a summer of sunshine and record-breaking temperatures, it was perhaps fitting that rain stopped play just 10 minutes into the first match! 🌧️😂

Thankfully, it was only a shower and the rest of the week went largely uninterrupted.

Five games in five days against a real mix of opposition, increasingly tired legs and definitely deteriorating levels of sleep… 😴 But the boys kept going and did themselves incredibly proud:

🏆 3 wins from 5 matches
🥈 2nd overall in their group
💪 A hard-fought week against some excellent opposition

Congratulations to Wiltshire, who topped the group and beat us in a closely fought match on the main pitch on Thursday.

⭐ There were some outstanding individual performances too:

🏏 Tom Lance - 73 vs MILCAS from Seattle & an unbeaten 102* vs Big 5 Academy

🏏We are now heading into the last week of fixtures for our County Age Group cricket teams.

There are still plenty of games, and we wish all the teams the best of luck as the season comes to a close (where have the months gone?!)

It’s been a season full of some incredible performances, and all round lots of excellent cricket played from lots of brilliant opportunities.
