🌍🏆 Two World Cups. Two Sports. One fantastic day. 🌍🏆 Two World Cups. Two Sports. One fantastic day.

With the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup & FIFA World Cup currently capturing imaginations of young players everywhere, it was fantastic to be able to offer a great day of Cricket & Football in March on Saturday.

On Saturday, we teamed up with @_footballfunfactory to deliver a Football & Cricket World Cup Taster Session at @marchtowncricketclub

From exciting cricket drills led by March Town CC to football darts, target kicking and matches run by @_footballfunfactory , there was plenty of action, laughter and new skills learnt throughout the day.

Most importantly, it was a fantastic opportunity for children to try something new, build confidence, make friends and discover a love for sport.

Who knows? Maybe we even saw a few future World Cup stars in action! ⭐

A huge thank you to @livingbettercambs , @cambridgeshirefa , @_footballfunfactory and @marchtowncricketclub for their support and hard work in making the event such a success 💙

As two World Cups inspire the next generation on the biggest stage, we’re proud to be creating opportunities for young people to get involved right here in Cambridgeshire.

What a difference one person can make👏 👏We’re del What a difference one person can make👏

👏We’re delighted to announce the second of our Winter Wonder winners, Edmund Harcourt @ickletoncc , who has been awarded our Outstanding Achievement Award! 🏆

Over the winter, Edmund has overseen the biggest single project undertaken by Ickleton CC since the club was reformed in 2013- the installation of a brand-new two-lane net facility.

This much-needed development will support the continued growth of cricket at the club, providing a high-quality training environment for Senior Men, Women, Boys and Girls for years to come.

Edmund was the driving force behind the fundraising effort, securing grants from Sport England and the ECB, alongside support from local charities and sponsors, helping to raise more than £30,000. His vision, determination and countless hours of hard work have transformed an ambitious idea into a lasting legacy for the club.

The committee at Ickleton CC describe Edmund as the backbone of the project, and it’s easy to see why.

👏Congratulations, Edmund, on this well-deserved recognition and thank you for everything you’ve done for your club and community.

🏏 Another weekend of great cricket for our pathway 🏏 Another weekend of great cricket for our pathway players!

Unfortunately, the U13’s match was called off due to the weather, but the U14 & U15 games against Middlesex & Suffolk went ahead.

➡️ BU14

➡️ BU15
A T20 double-header away at local rivals, Suffolk, this weekend for Cambs Boys U15s.

Game 1 saw Cambridgeshire post 165-3, with openers Ferdie P & Ethan HF both making 50 before being retired and in the second innings restricted Suffolk to 115-8, with two wickets each for Gyaan P and George M. 💪

Game 2 saw Suffolk make 122-7, which Cambs chased down with six wickets and three overs to spare, Neel K top scoring 👏
