Today has been a busy day of education across the Today has been a busy day of education across the Cambridgeshire Cricket landscape.

Starting Cottenham Cricket Club Wayne Hardy led the Grounds Association at their regular start of season session, looking at the Clubs new 2-lane net facility, then looking at their square, then into the pavilion for a cuppa and a discussion about getting young people into Grounds Management and other topics.

Thank you to Cottenham CC for hosting.

Then head south to Sawston & Babraham CC where Helen Hyde led an Introduction to Scoring Workshop to a small audience.

We were a little disappointed with last minute drop outs, however we do realise cricket people and their families do get ill.

Participants were taken through all of the basics required to score a game with paper and pen. Thank you Helen and your able assistants.

Then head North-West to Comberton Village College where 16 budding coaches were being put through their coaching paces on Day 3 of their ECB Core Coach course under the tuition of Matt Morley and Martin Heginbotham. Thank you Martin and Matt for your excellent work.

Then a short journey up to Over Community Centre where Cambs and Hunts Association of Cricket Officials (CHACO) held a day of CPD for its members.

Well done to Ben Whyall and the CHACO committee in organising an interesting and informative day.

We hope all of the volunteer attendees had an interesting and informative day.
