🏏 🏏 Last weekend, was a absolute scorcher of 🏏 🏏 Last weekend, was a absolute scorcher of a weekend!

The sun was out, the temps hit 30+, and the outfields fast in very dry conditions! ☀️🥵

BU18’s
Against Norfolk, Cambridgeshire - won1, lost 1. Liam T (U16) was the pick of the bowlers with 5 wickets across the 2 games and Captain, Alex J scored 67 off 44 balls and James M (U16) scoring 52 off 30 balls. Seb H scored 61 off 30 balls in game 1 and also scored 122 vs Berkshire!

BU12’s -
The opposition, Norfolk came out of the blocks quickly and reached 65 -1 off the first 10 overs, but Cambridgshire had a great spell from Hugo A-V with 7-12-2 accompanied by some excellent fielding Cambridgeshire restricted Norfolk to 154 from the 40overs. In reply Joshua P (33) and Eshan K (26) and Thomas C-U batted smartly with 42 no.

BU14’s -
Cambridgeshire set a decent total of 241-6 largely due to a 104-partnership between Daniel P and Theo P, both narrowly missing out on their maiden half centuries. Neel K was the pick of the bowlers picking up 3 wickets.

GU15’s
A win was not to be for Cambridgeshire against a strong Middlesex side. The girls’ bowling was consistent with each bowler taking at least 1 wicket. The girls were chasing 204 in the second innings and Diya M (U13) scored a very well played 73 NO, supported by a great middle order 29 off 24 balls for Natasha C

We are now moving into more mid-week matches as the school holidays start in earnest, but this coming weekend there are matches for the boys U12, U13, U14 and U15’s - let’s hope the forecast of rain and thunderstorms is not the case! 🌧️⚡️🤞

👀There will be lots to report over the coming weeks, so keep following & sharing the updates!
