The link below takes you to the Cricket Regulator’s Safeguarding Training page for explanations of the different e-Learning and in person training packages available for different volunteer roles in cricket such as Club Safeguarding officers, Captains, Coaches, Committee Members and Officials.

The Cricket Regulator- Safeguarding Training

Safe Hands workshops are a prerequisite for anyone who is a Club Safeguarding Officer and need to be refreshed every 3 years. Next year we will be offering two courses to enable Club Safeguarding Officers to be trained.

  • March 19th 2026 6.30 to 9.30pm at Sawston, Mill Lane Pavilion, CB22 3HY (not the cricket club)

As a reminder to be a fully compliant Club Safeguarding Officer you need to:

1. Attend an in person Safe Hands workshop every 3 years

2. Complete the new online SGL2 training every 3 years accessed through this link https://booking.ecb.co.uk/zZMmRl (or have completed the old SSR online training within the past 3 years)

3. Have a current ECB DBS check.
