Ever thought of umpiring? 📣 In 2026 we are run Ever thought of umpiring?

📣 In 2026 we are running a Women & girls ONLY umpiring course! 

ℹ️ Join us on Sunday 12th April at Ely College for a full-day course designed to give new umpires the key skills, knowledge and confidence to stand as an umpire.

What you will learn on the course...
✅ Understand the umpire’s role in the game
âś… Learn the basics of umpiring with confidence
âś… Master appeals and key dismissal decisions
âś… Communicate clearly with players & coaches
âś… Judge when it is safe (or not) to play!

This course is a mix of classroom and practical learning and also includes some e-learning prior to attending on the day. The course will be delivered by two active female umpires.

ℹ️ Minimum attendee age is 14. Cost of the course is £70. Candidates from Cambridgeshire who join before 31st January will receive a bursary refund on attendance and completion of the course of £35.

No prior experience of umpiring is required. 
By the end of the course, you will have the confidence and skills to umpire within recreational cricket.

Our recent End of Season Presentation brought together County Age Group Pathway players, parents and coaches to celebrate a successful 2025 season!

We recognised every player’s hard work and celebrated standout moments. Huge thanks to Patrick Lance from RBC Brewin Dolphin — one of our 2025 sponsors — and former pathway cricketers Catherine Speed & Ravi Mahendra for presenting the awards.

đź’ˇThis will be our last ECB Core Coach Development Course before the 2026 season starts. 

Each year this course sells out with a waiting list, so if you want to become a Core Coach before the start of the new season be sure to book your place soon!
32 members of the local Coaches Association gather 32 members of the local Coaches Association gathered at Fenners Indoor Cricket School where ex-Notts fast bowler and renowned coach Andy Pick led a Fast Bowling Masterclass aimed at developing coaches so they can influence players, methods to identify and correct issues and allow bowlers to build more weapons to their armoury to assist in getting more wickets.

The session fits in with our desire to help coaches from Clubs within Cambridgeshire to continue to develop their skills so that they can continue delivering brilliant sessions to the young people back at their clubs.

Andy delivered the session with the know how, humour and an obvious love of fast bowling.

Thank you Andy for a great session that was enjoyed by everyone and thank you to the attendees all of who are volunteer coaches within their clubs and do so much to make cricket an enjoyable game for everyone.

If you would like to join our next Masterclasses watch our for our next session in February where the topic will be batting and in April where we will cover wicketkeeping.
