On Sunday 2nd August Cambourne Cricket Club hosted our U13 and U16 Girls’ Cup Finals

U13 Cup Final- Cambourne CC Vs City of Cambridge CC

Having won the toss and elected to Field Cambourne dismissed City of Cambridge for 64 in 10 overs with Anna Bingham taking 3 wickets. Teja Simkute top scored for City of Cambridge with 23 runs. Despite City of Cambridge’s best efforts in the field Cambourne knocked off the total for the loss of 4 wickets with Nakshtra Deorankar top scoring for Cambourne with 21

U16 Cup Final- Saffron Walden CC Vs Thriplow CC

Saffron Walden posted a score of 131-5 having been asked to bat first with Alia Martin leading the run scoring with 29. In reply Thriplow were restricted to 47-5 before a 67 run partnership between Lina Opel (29) and Marianne Gouliouris (23) gave them hope of victory before Jasmine Bartlett returned to bowl the penultimate over and dismissed both to finish with figures of 4-18 to secure a 13 run victory for Saffron Walden

U13 Plate Final

Unfortunately due a concession the U13 plate final was cancelled. Chippenham CC were awarded the plate victory
